The Provost’s Office has announced the 2019-2020 Faculty Impact Forums.  The Spring Forum will feature Religion and Public Health at Emory, with speakers Emmanuel Lartey, Mimi Kiser, John Blevins, and Ellen Idler.

This forum topic will advance the interdisciplinary study of religion as a determinant of population health by exploring how religion modifies other social forces on health—such as political and economic inequality, racism, and social isolation. Also to be explored: the roles religion plays in communities where health is most adversely affected by inequality, and how students in these fields may build engaged partnerships to benefit communities.
